Timothy Weah is on the verge of a new adventure as he prepares to join Olympique Marseille from Juventus. IlBianconero report that after a prolonged and complicated negotiation, the American winger’s transfer is finally set. Juventus and Marseille have reached a verbal agreement that will see Weah move on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
The deal’s structure is straightforward: Marseille will pay €1 million for the initial loan, followed by a €14 million mandatory purchase clause. On top of this, there are €3 million in potential bonuses, with an additional sell-on clause covering any future transfer involving Weah.
Weah’s desire to play for Marseille has been clear from the beginning, and despite his involvement with Juventus’ preseason training camp in Germany, he was recently left out of the squad for a friendly, signalling that a move was imminent. Now, with the agreement finalized, he awaits only the official go-ahead to travel and complete his transfer to France.
