Weston McKennie Set to Sign New Juventus Deal: Length and Salary Agreed

Weston McKennie and Juventus are on the verge of committing their future to one another, with only the final details missing before the midfielder signs a new contract. What had long looked like a complicated negotiation now appears close to a successful conclusion for all parties.

A Complex Match That Juventus Have “Won”

IlBianconero report that the renewal of McKennie’s deal has been anything but straightforward. His current contract expires in June, and for months Juventus and the player’s entourage have been working to find common ground. Talks initially began under the previous board, but everything stalled due to a significant gap between the parties’ demands and offers.

The new management, however, never abandoned the idea of extending McKennie’s stay in Turin and took charge of the file as soon as they were in place. In recent weeks, discussions have become much more productive, to the point that an agreement is now considered to be just a step away. McKennie himself pushed strongly in favour of this solution, making clear his desire to continue with the Bianconeri.

Contract Duration: A Long-Term Commitment

McKennie is one of several Juventus players whose contracts were due to expire in June, but this renewal will mark a clear change of approach compared to the past. Whereas his previous extension was only for a single year, this time the Texan is set to sign a long-term deal.

According to the latest indications, McKennie will put pen to paper on a contract running until 2030, giving him four more years at the club. This long duration reflects both the trust Juventus now place in him and the player’s wish to find stability after several turbulent seasons.

Salary: A Well-Earned Pay Rise

At present, McKennie earns around 2.5 million euros per year. His performances in recent months, however, have fully justified an improvement in his terms. With the new contract, his salary is expected to rise significantly.

Reports suggest the American midfielder could earn in excess of 4 million euros per season including bonuses. The last remaining technical and fiscal aspects, including ancillary charges, still need to be finalised, but the framework of the agreement is clear and there is no intention to turn back.

Announcement Expected After Roma–Juventus

With the key points agreed, it is now mainly a question of timing. The deal is expected to be wrapped up in the coming days. According to the latest indications, McKennie’s signature – and the official announcement from the club – should arrive after Roma–Juventus, a match that is crucial for the Bianconeri’s season.

McKennie is set to start that game from the first minute, further underlining his importance in Luciano Spalletti’s plans. Once the final whistle blows in Rome, Juventus and McKennie are ready to formalise a renewal that will tie the American to the club for many years to come.
