Davide Frattesi has once again been mentioned in connection with Juventus over recent weeks, with the Italian midfielder reportedly on the Bianconeri’s radar during the winter transfer window. However, new interest has emerged from Turkey, where Galatasaray are said to have made an attempt to sign the Inter midfielder — and have even been linked with Juventus’ own Teun Koopmeiners.
According to Fabrizio Romano, who addressed the matter on his YouTube channel, negotiations between Galatasaray and Inter for Frattesi were indeed underway towards the end of December, before stalling. The Turkish side were pushing for a more complex obligation to buy than Inter’s proposal of four appearances of at least 45 minutes, valued at around €35 million. That gap remains unresolved, even though Galatasaray’s interest has not completely faded. There is also said to be some Premier League attention lingering in the background.
Juventus Maintain Their Position
From Juventus’ side, the stance remains unchanged. While Luciano Spalletti continues to admire Frattesi’s qualities, the club have not opened any talks with Inter, largely because a loan with an option to buy — the only formula that might have worked for Juve — is not feasible under current terms. For now, the Bianconeri are standing firm and appear unlikely to enter a bidding war.
Turkish Links with Koopmeiners
In recent days, rumours have also surfaced linking Galatasaray with Teun Koopmeiners, currently one of the key names in Juventus’ midfield. However, sources from Turkey have issued firm denials, insisting there is nothing concrete in those reports.
At this stage, both stories seem to be more smoke than fire — though the continued speculation underlines how closely Galatasaray are tracking Serie A talent this January.
