Juventus Go All-In for Conte (and Pintus): Chiellini’s Growing Influence

Start

Juventus are preparing a bold move to bring Antonio Conte back to Turin as head coach, with the club’s leadership convinced that only a figure of his stature can restore stability and ambition after a turbulent season. According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport (as quoted by IlBianconero) , the Bianconeri are determined to transform what is currently just a dream into reality, and Giorgio Chiellini is playing a key role in the push.

Conte: The Main Target for the Juventus Bench

After a year marked by inconsistency and disappointing results, Juventus are seeking a return to their roots-prioritizing stability, experience, and a winning mentality. Antonio Conte, who previously led the club to three consecutive Serie A titles from 2011 to 2014, has emerged as the top candidate to take charge next season. Despite being under contract with Napoli until 2027, Conte’s passion for challenges and his deep connection to Juventus make him a realistic target if the club can present a compelling project.

Conte’s potential return is seen as the foundation for a new era at Juventus, one that aims to immediately compete for the Scudetto and end the cycle of experiments and short-term fixes. However, negotiations with Napoli will be complex, and much will depend on Conte’s willingness to embrace the Juventus project once again.

The Pintus Factor

Alongside Conte, Juventus are also eyeing Antonio Pintus, one of Europe’s most respected fitness coaches. Pintus, currently at Real Madrid, has a history with Juventus from the eras of Trapattoni, Lippi, and Deschamps, and he worked with Conte at Inter. His expertise could be crucial in reducing the injury problems that have plagued the squad in recent seasons. Juventus are hopeful that Chiellini’s influence and the club’s new direction can persuade Pintus to return to Turin, regardless of whether Conte is appointed as head coach.

Chiellini’s Expanding Role

Central to Juventus’ new vision is Giorgio Chiellini, whose influence within the club’s hierarchy is growing rapidly. Having returned to Turin in a leadership role, Chiellini is poised to become a vital link between management and the dressing room. His experience, understanding of the club’s values, and close relationship with figures like Cristiano Giuntoli position him as an ideal bridge to transmit the Juventus DNA to the squad.

Chiellini’s involvement is not limited to supporting the Conte operation. Even if another coach, such as Igor Tudor, remains at the helm, Chiellini is expected to play a key role in shaping the club’s sporting direction and fostering a sense of unity and purpose.
